Use the Windows scandisk option when your PC crashed or shut down suddenly,. You can run it yourself by restarting and shutting down Windows in safe mode.
• Select Shutdown.
• Select Restart and click OK.
• Hold down the F8 key during restart until the Windows Startup menu appears.
• Select Safe Mode from the Startup menu, and press the Enter button on keyboard.
• Windows should start in Safe Mode. If Windows doesn't restart in Safe Mode then please try again.
