Without Upgrading
Or Buying New PC speed Up Your Computer Easily
It is
general concept that more older the computer, more slower its speed. But
this idea is absolutely wrong. If You follow some easy steps ,your pc
certainly run without upgradation just as fast as the day you brought it
home. The Steps Are Following----
Boot up your pc completely
before opening any application
Scan your hard disk minimum
once in fortnightly to fix up error or to repair bad sector. To scan double-click My Computer. Right-click the C-drive and
click Properties. Click on the Tools tab and choose to check the
computer for problems. Click on Check Now. After checking don't
forget to reboot your computer.
Delete temp file from both
internet & widows temp
irectory,Scandisk File Fragments,Registry Streams,Windows Fragmented
iles,Windows Start Menu Run/Find History,Windows MediaPlayer Recent
File List--- regularly. There are some great programs out there such as
Winclear,CCleaner,ATF Cleaner and other, but my favorite
WiNcleaR has easily been
This program is for XP and Windows 2000 only
To remove any unused files
from the RAM, refresh the desktop after closing any application.
Defragment your hard disk
once every months. Remember after efficient defragment of hard
drive, it likes to free up to 25% space and rearrange the files so
that your applications run faster
Try to
keep C drive as empty as possible. To do this always install large
software (e.g. photoshop,flash,3d max--)to another drive except C
drive. As a result Windows uses all the available empty space in C
drive as virtual memory when your Computer RAM is full.
The
Recycle Bin should be emptied frequently. Actually the files are not
deleted from your hard drive until you empty the recycle bin.
Avoid
to create so many shortcuts on your desktop. each shortcut occupy @
500bytes of RAM
Do not
set very large file size images as your wallpaper.
During
installation of new Software, disable the option of having a tray
icon. The tray icons use up available RAM, and also slow down the
booting of your PC. Also disable the option of starting the
application automatically when the PC boots. You can disable these
options later on also from the Tools or preferences menu in your
application
Protect
your pc from dust. Accumulated dust jam the cooling fan of CPU. As
result CPU became gradually heated & affecting the processing speed.
Install
and run regularly a good
AntiVirus,
antispyware program to keep out
ur pc infection free. Remember scan regularly & update regularly
otherwise it is meaningless to to have these programs in ur pc.
Remember for more better performance it has been seen that third
party utility is very much effective. It also tunes up your system
for increased speed, and streamlines your operating system for peak
performance.
Go
online running firewall software . Even if you have Windows XP,
which has a built-in firewall, run one other
personal firewall to plug the
gaps left by Microsoft.
Best of luck.
Enjoy! I expect this tips help u to boost up the speed ur computer.
